Women

There is something sacred about being a woman of God. I am a strong, beautiful, independent daughter of a King. i come from a family where the women have strength, honor, and courage. I've grown up in a home to teach me to have strong opionions, strong morals, and unfailing beliefs. There is just something special about the women in my family.

To my mom, sister, aunts, oma, and nane: thank you!

midwest love

Driving home today and noticed my town's welcome sign and moto:

Welcome to Crystal Lake
"A good place to live"
It made me smile to know that I grew up in the northern suberbs. And that my town moto is something so simple and midwestern.

Losers and Winners

You ought to celebrate losing. Because losing is what makes winning worth while and so exciting. If you never lose than you can never get any better and you will have nothing to aim for. So every time you lose celebrate that you have new expectations to match and new goals to passionatly seek after. Go ahead, throw your arms in the air. Celebrate losing as much as you celebrate winning!

sisterly quotes

"Push hard to get better, become smarter, grow your devotion to the truth, fuel your commitment to beauty, refine your emotional intelligence, hone your dreams, negotiate with your shadow, cure your ignorance, shed your pettiness, heighten your drive to look for the best in people, and soften your heart- even as you always accept yourself for exactly who you are with all of your so called imperfections."

Purprose

"The purpose of life is to live it. To taste experience to the utmost. To reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."

My worst down fall is my wanting to know what my purpose is. Don't misunderstand me, I know I have a purpose, a strong purprose. But sometimes I wonder where I will end up. And since I can't see where that is right now, I worry I am not taking the right steps to get me there. I'm a girl who loves focus and has none at this hour. But that's okay. So when I look up and ask God where I'm going, and how he can use me...

"It's not your problem God replied. There's a bigger picture you can't see. You don't have to change in the world just trust in me. Cuz I am your creator. I am working out my plan. Through you I will show them I AM."

so although I know I will change the world, I don't have to worry about how I'm going to do it or even if I'm going too. I'm just trusting. God says you don't get to know where you're going just yet, just know that you're going somewhere and that I know where that is. Relax, enjoy the walk!

Ordinary Heros

Heros are those who have learned that by experiencing life's heartaches we all come to know the importance of tenderness, and that in the echo of broken dreams the human instinct for compassion wil come forward, welcoming those who need it's blessing.

Heros experience life deeply. They conquer fear by embracing each moment, and their freedom to be right here, right now.

We know heroes by the light they cast. Their shimmering presense may walk beside us for a while, or pass through us quickly. No matter how long their stay, their guidance brightens our lives and leaves a mark on us forever.

Caregivers, doctors, and nurses are often heroes, sharing not only their skill and knowledge, but also lending us a caring shoulder. They make a profound difference in the quality of our lives and the lives of those we love. (thats me)

With their strength of purpose and a thirst for truth, they move beyond traditional logic. With their passionate will, they create ideas that can change the course of humanity.

Conversation with God

Walking to class this morning. About to pick up cell phone. Stopped. Decided to call God instead.

The most beautiful conversation one can have with God happens by just being silent. This morning I quieted my mind and just listened to the noises of nature around me. I heard the fountain. I felt the breeze glide across my cheeks. The palm trees rustled and the birds softly hummed. My footsteps sounded rhythmic on the bricks below. God was talking to me. Slow down, he said. Here I am.

Today I heard God's voice.
