Dancing with the Breeze

If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you.

To travel to Rome for a semester or graduate a year early.

We will see where the winds will blow...

Kenny Chesney in Review

Sitting on my sisters bed, spending some wonderful sisterly family time, and reveiwing Kenny Chesney's new Christmas CD. And I have to say one of the songs just rang true...

All I want for Christmas is a real good tan.
"Don't you think its a pretty good plan? All I want for Christmas is a real good tan. Take me to the Islands, put my feet in the sand. Rockin' to and fro with the rhythm of the ocean. Singin' Silent Night with the palm trees blowin'....

Well everybody's praying for a Christmas so white, come to think about it, that'd be alright. As long as it's sand and not snow on the ground, and everyday our skin gets a little more brown. We'll string some lights in a coconut tree, that is a perfect christmas for me."

Right about this time I could be starting to miss my family back home and the snow up north: but than I decided to have a more postive outlook on the situation: I get to celebrate the begining of December and the start of Christmas on the beach, in my swim suit, underneath palm trees. I get to laugh about how all of the Christmas decorations look fake in Florida, like some people just left their lights up year round. I get to smile and soak up the sun, and then return to the windy city just in time for Christmas Day.

So I'm sending thanks out to my cowboy Keney Chesney, for reminding me of why I love living under the Florida Sun!
